Picture Doctor can help you recover damaged image files. The program has an intuitive interface suitable for batch processing. The whole recovery process can be summarized as choosing the files to restore, selecting an output destination and proceeding to convert.
Unfortunately, the tool only supports JPEG and PSD, and even worse, it only allows recovering them in BMP format. According to its developers, the application can recover the images with their original palette and dimensions. It is also said to recover layers for PSD files.
I was hoping that this application could help me restore some photos that had gotten corrupted due to problems on my telephone’s memory card. So, I tried it on them. I did not have any difficulties while configuring the recovery session. After processing the problem pictures very quickly, the program reported them as recovered. However, I was still unable to open the supposedly repaired photos.
